Lost Love

by Northern Poet   May 31, 2013

To scramble to the top only to find
The middle was more your kind of place
To seek such wealth only to learn
You had all you need on a poor man's wage
The grass, which seemed much greener
Only now mows the same
But the love that once was yours
Now no longer calls your name
