Dream Girl

by Michael Lynum   Jun 11, 2013

My heart is pounding against my chest
My aching body without you cannot rest
Eyes affixed as blinking is part of my past
Oh my lady, to be with you an forever it last
Body reacting as if I have seen my dream girl
Maybe you are, pinch me to make sure this is real
Lips are moistened dreaming of that first kiss
A kiss never yet had but still one that I miss
Hand fidgety with want for you in my arms
To hold gently, protect you from all harm
My heart aches for the woman I have not met
You take my breath away, to breath I forget
My love, lust for you grows as I dream of you
Even if you are a dream, to me you are so true.
