Reverie

by Kiino   Jun 22, 2013

If I'd dream a dream,
Would be one under clear curtains of white,
With Debussy's reverie notes prancing,
Around your uplifted arms in flight.
Heads close in one pillow as though waiting,
Waiting for little hands to clasp in sight.
If I'd dream of this-- all beautiful and sweet.
Of love's paragon, with each of its sublimation,
I'd fail greater than all history's defeat,
For I a stranger, collapses in your perfection.
For your words are poetry, your smile is art,
And though reality forces us apart-
I'd still dream of you.
