Goodbye My Friend

by DarkKnight   Jul 23, 2013

A flower blooms all heaven scent
but after time will wilt be bent, its
colours fading day by day reds and golds
just melt away.

The mighty Oak standing tall in time
will wither, die and fall no acorns bursting
into seed, no bird or hungry squirrel feed.

The tallest Mountains snow capped peaks
one day will crumble, crack and creak
and tumble down and turn to dust as all
of us eventually must.

The strongest heart or loved one dear will one
day go, as we all fear, or find another love to
share and as for us show not a care.

Passing time has no regret for loved ones lost
or not yet met,no master time as on he flies
unconcerned with our goodbyes.

Yes all good things come to an end as we have
done, my true loved friend, don't be sad for I really
cared and lets be glad for the love we shared.

But life had other plans for me
and what will be will be, you see.
