No longer there to hold a hand or
kiss a scuffed up knee, no more
changing mucky bums alls been
took away from me.

No more wrapping Christmas presents
or decorating the tree, no more
filming squeals of laughter on
Christmas morning, alls been took
away from me.

No more holidays to Cornwall
no fish and chips for tea, no more
chasing away the spiders, alls been
took away from me.

No more words"I love you Paul" and
no more "love you too Nicky", no more
kisses in the dark ,alls been took away from
me.

No more wedding plans to make no more
vows of love ,now she has showed me
I'm surplus to requirements, so forget
all of the above.

Now I truly understand it all, yes nothing
could be clearer, I'm her past cos
nothing lasts and a new face is in her
mirror.
