When Summer Met Winter (part three)

by WintersAngel   Jul 25, 2013

The summer princess had enough
She wanted to scream her love
The winter prince felt the same
He felt she was a gift from above

So the prince crossed into summer territory
To face the king and queen
He wanted her parents to know
What she really means

But her parents refused
They ignored their daughters pleas
They threw the prince in the dungeon
Weak with sadness, she fell to her knees

The king and queen of winter
Declared war on the summer kingdom
The princess begged her parents over and over
For her beloved princes freedom

The princess began to train
To win her prince back
When the time was right
She made her attack

She freed him from the dungeon
And they ran into spring territory
The royals embraced them
Then calmly listened to their story

They united with fall
And brought the seasons together
There had to be a way
For things to be better

Their parents calmed and listened rationally
Then allowed their children's love
The seasons were in balance once again
And it was finally enough
