I Want To Say

by Tamon G   Jul 2, 2004

I have no power over my
lips when I'm near you.
My mind trying to
convince my mouth to speak
to you, but I can't.
I get nervous with the
thought of saying a single
word to you.
So, I must write.
I write this to let you
know that you mean the world
to me, and much more.
I know that reading, and
hearing are two big different
things.
But this is the only way I
can express myself to you.
If I could put it in a picture,
and let the picture say a thousand
words, I would, but I can't
Although, I wish I knew how.
I would do anything for you, that
I know I could do.
I don't want to promise you anything,
that I can't get for you.
You're the girl I think of when
I see a couple holding hands.
Dreaming and wishing for the day,
when I could hold you close, and softly
whisper I love you in your ear.
Why can't I tell you this in person?
Can someone tell me why?
I hope this letter will find its way to you.
But for some reason, this paper is blank.
I haven't touched this paper with my pen.
Cause I have been writing this letter
in my mind.
I can't even write what I want to say,
maybe I will one day.
