I'll Miss You When I'm Gone

by LadyLk   Aug 3, 2013

I'm going to miss it all
Your voice, your lips, your smile
The way you walk, the way you laugh
Your eyes, your look, your style

Your stories of a heel on the edge
And the sound of rain falling
On an random imagined umbrella
And other stories I'm recalling

I know how you feel
And there's no other intention
So please stay away
So it's not misapprehension

And if one day you need me
Please tell me that you do
And if you've realized feelings
I'd want nothing more than
For you,

To grab my arm the way you did
Please do it again
But the next time, what I'm asking;
Add a kiss at the end

Really enjoyed this poem. Its simple but tells such a vivid story. The only thing the threw me off was the speed of it. It seemed to flow in two different speeds throughout.

Check out a couple of my new poems if you don't mind and let me know what you think.
