Love is but a fairytale

by Jenn   Aug 6, 2013

She came to me within a dream,
An angel dressed in white.
Long hair of golden blonde,
And blue eyes shining bright.

She held a hand up to her heart,
And shared with me a secret.
Staring deep into my eyes,
She said I better keep it.

The secret I heard was this:
"Love is but a fairytale,
A dream created by a man,
So that his stories would sell.

"In life you will find love,
But let it come to you.
For love is not perfection,
But imperfection will make it true.

"Look through his eyes and In to his soul,
To know if true love burns.
You will know its mutual
When for him your heart yearns.

"Dear child, love is but a fairytale;
It does not live but never dies.
Keep my secret, live your dreams.
And keep his heart, where true love lives. "
