Lullaby Of Rain

by Cheyenne   Aug 13, 2013

Crystal raindrops in the air,
Flying, floating everywhere,
Off the leaves of the highest trees,
Down into the deep blue seas.

Accumulating as fast as it can,
Washing away the sand,
Moisturizing the hardened Earth,
Do you know what water's worth?

All the creeks, rivers, and ponds,
At the brim from dusk to dawn,
Catching the tears the heavens cry,
As it sings its sweet lullaby.

Go to sleep with your nightlight on,
For the rain has not yet forgone.
