Play My Heart

by KP   Oct 16, 2013

I sit here and stupidly believe your lies
Because behind your lips is where they are disguised
I believe every little word you say
Maybe I will come to my senses some day
Your cheesy smile, your sparkling eyes
It makes me want to believe your lies
Why are you the only one that does this to me?
I hate that I'm stuck, I want to be free

You say you're just playing the game
But my heart now will never be the same
You broke me, I hope you're proud
I guess I'll just see you around

Your torturous lies have got me in chains
I think it's okay but they leave me in pain
I'd give anything to see you smile
And just to have your presence for a while
But you use me
Abuse me
Until I'm broken to the core
And then when you're finished you don't need me anymore

You say you're just playing the game
But my heart now will never be the same
You broke me, I hope you're proud
I guess I'll just see you around

I got played, I'm just a fool in lust
I let you in, you gained my trust
I didn't see what a jerk you were
That you were untruthful it did not occur
I was blinded by your sadistic face
How easy it was for you to replace
Me...
Why couldn't I see?

You say you're just playing the game
But my heart now will never be the same
You broke me, I hope you're proud
I guess I'll just see you around
