The Unyielding Heart

by Jonathan   Oct 27, 2013

I have a secret that no one knows
Kept locked away for half a decade
About a fiery wind that blows
Inside of me, so deep it is sown

On the outside I am colder than granite stone
I dream of a love that may never be
Trapped in my thoughts all alone at sea
But one day I want to give away this heart, that beats within me

Shaped by the past and weathered by the present
Alone on a road with no one in sight
I roam the land like a nomad, all through the night

Searching & looking, hoping & praying
For a beacon in the sky
Or a siren on a hill
Entice me with a song of the winds from long ago
That shall once again, begin to blow

Like a cyclone in my heart and the churning of the sea
She will rescue you with her love
So forever two will be
Like the sun & clouds are to the moon & stars
Hand to hand and soul into soul
Merging hearts, destined from the start
Remaining together, never will you part
