I'll set you on the moon

by Lindsay   Nov 4, 2013

He loved her.
He picked her right up, and set her on the moon, Showing her all the worlds beauty and treasures from above. She sat there frozen for awhile, gazing at all the stars and wondering how did they shine, so far away in distance and out of her reach. A stretch of endless possibilities. A beautiful distraction. Time holding still forever. Every single star in its place. Until that moment she realized something. Everything that was missing. All of what was left behind, burried deep in a hidden cave of forgotten things. Not knowing where she belonged, all the answers were right there. at the tip of her fingers and tongue, bright as the sun, it was there. She called out for her lover to reject his doing. Devestated with grief, he begged her stay. And then just like that, she was gone in the blink of an eye.
He loved her.
He sat there frozen on the moon. Looking up to the infinate blackness where all the stars had gone dark. When he saw it. Beautiful. There in its place. shining. Just barely far out in the distance.
