Angel

by Erick Neal   Nov 25, 2013

First time I saw her
she was spinning around on ice
Pouring out her emotions
with every turn and leap
Gracefully baring her soul

She looked like an angel
gliding on ice
I prayed to god
that she would be mine.

Candlelight in her eyes
hair down, barely showing her smile
Our hearts beating as one
as we kiss and make love
Passionately baring our souls to each other.

She's an angel
arms wrapped around me
I'm asking God
How I could be this lucky.

Holding her hands
Looking into her eyes
trying my best, not to cry.
Every breath grows fainter than before
I don't want to say goodbye to my soul mate

She was an angel
Kept me from being alone
God please be with her on the trip.
Because she is coming home.
