One look

by reborn   Nov 30, 2013

It all started with a look
That really was all it took
When I first looked into your eyes
I couldn't believe how much you could mesmerize
Believe me when I say that it was outta character
For me to tell you straight up I had never seen any prettier
And then when I finally managed to get outta their hypnotizing effect
I realized just how beautifully perfect
You really were
And that's probably why I had a hard time remembering such a simple order
I now reminisce the way you made me feel
With a simple look you made look like Ally Mcbeal
Smiling and stuttering
For no reason oh my it was so embarrassing
At some point I saw my colleague playing with his pen
Without knowing what would happen
I just had to take a chance
Just like a movie character finally asks for the last dance
I just felt compelled to write my number down
No matter how badly I might look like a clown
For a guy like me trying to get a girl like you
Is downright crazy, completely kookoo
I told you exactly what I felt like
That my heart just wouldn't lemme take a hike
I just had to try
I just couldn't let it slip by
I told you to leave it there if you had no intention of calling me
Instead you asked me for my FB
You left me that night with some hope you would contact me
But instead the next 3 days felt like eternity
Several times a day checking on FB
If you had by any chance added me
To no avail until tonight
Finally shedding some light
On your opinion of me
So perhaps you do like what could be
I've wrote to you and now am freaking out
For I might have done too much and instilled some doubt
About my sanity
For I did come in a bit too strong that I can see
But what can I say you've really charmed me
I just hope that by some miracle you're as attracted to me
However the odds are not looking good
All I can do now is knock on wood.
