ONCE MORE

by Satish Verma   Dec 6, 2013

He nearly jumped
from the cliff shrinking back to
the old avatar.

Crossing the dawn in
winter of life for a gift
of the autumn.

It never ends for-
the tears, which lighten up
the candle in dark.

I like this poem a lot as well. It tells a very sad story that darkness can consume you. It seems this person found the light in something and made a huge change to their life. This is actually a very well written poem. Because it keeps me interested the whole time. You also tell a story of warmth. The darkness/sadness consumes you at first then you found hope in something. The flow is very beautiful as well each line connecting well with the next. Well done

What I take away from this is a person decides not to commit suicide backing away, returning to their old self, remembering life events, looking for a gift (there has to be more to life than this). The destructive thought process of the person never changes therefore the tears never go away but lessen and light a candle which gives hope and light that there is more. Might be a little disjointed but I think you can get the idea of waht I said. Nice work.
