Comments : Life's Battering Waves

    Currents carry fast my ship.
    On life's embattling seas,
Where gales have frayed my deepest hope,
And death sits back at ease.

^^The very first sentence draws the urgency, the dangers. That hopeless situation which drowns us all..gosh how many times I have felt that..

With no port close to sail upon,
    Rains pound without a care,
And safety may abound with some,
Yet not a ounce is shared.

^^We battle everything alone right from birth to death and is never shared..

The lonely bark of endless drift,
    Is heartache still untamed,
    Presses down its weighty might,
Reaps joy from all my pain.

^^For me this stanza is painful to read..to think that everything is against you and takes joy in our pain.

A northern star that leads my way,
    That hears my weary pleas,
One person who can calm my waves,
    Instills some worth in me.

^^This end makes me cry. To have that one valuable treasure to soothe all your woes..I know I've had and still have that one valuable person during my painful time.

A touching write..I feel like I'm into this poem and feel every word of it..its nice to read your works..its like a breath of fresh air..thanks for sharing :)
