As they fade, I fade.

by MelodramaticSuffering   Mar 7, 2014

Dark days come and go.
Shreds of light peck through.
Yet, never
Never once does it stay.
I miss the days that Sun filled the skies
And the warmth of it all washed away the pain.

But now it's cold in my world.
Shadows surround me
The faces that come with
They make me tremble.

I split my skin with metal
To feel something
Something other than the emotional drowning sensation.
I truly feel this darkness will aways be with me.
It has been a part of me for so long.
Life wouldn't seem the same with out it.

As the scars fade from my skin,
I feel myself fade right along.
I want more, need more.
It's an addiction.
It is all an addiction.
The sea of black.
The river of red.
The abstract patterns left in the flesh.

Great poem very emotional, i believe that in life we all look up for love and blessings to feel excepted, but often times we need to remember to look down as well.
