The End

by Sammib   Mar 25, 2014

They say the pen is mightier than the sword

perhaps that was true in someone else's world

Each word that is written begs for relief

Every thought stolen by a relentless thief

So the words that are written spill from thought

but how I long for it all to feel less distraught

It feels hopeless and mindless , begging for change

And when I silence it, it all feels so strange

A smile that glows brighter than any star

leaves me in darkness that extends as far

Beautiful hands that emanates warmth like the sun

retreat so quickly just like time on the run

Moments are fleeting, but memories stay

somewhat like emotions that are often lead astray

There is a battle field of armies fighting for my mind

some days its peaceful, most days very unkind

Looking into eyes that peer over bottles or glass

I look down at my hands and wonder which will last

Remembering moments when the storms were calmed

No beauty has even seen anything with such charm

Never have I seen such incredible depths of heart

Profoundly the truth is, its only the start

A courage that screams from mountains so high

complimented by a humility that makes me cry

Lost in my world of thoughts, dreams and hopes

reminded again of all the daggers and coats

I can see the end where there's a finishing line

how I keep longing for more and more time

Reality is, time is no ones friend

and I am afraid of how this will end.
