This Night

by OmniLotus   May 26, 2014

As much as he tries
Is as much as he fails
Persistent and ongoing
Just shaping new rut trails

Most peaceful of these silent nights
Stars shimmer as fine as white gold
Jotting down mindless drivel on paper
Failing to reach emotions he can't get ahold

He ponders and he bickers
Fingers combing through his hair
Then bites his bottom lip abruptly
And whispers ,"Forget it, I don't care!"

A sound intoxicatedly pleasing
And a few gusts of wind blow strong
Countless branches swaying to the breeze
That prance and parade to the drafty song

~~~~~~~~~~~
Without a second thought a black pen
Dances on paper without command
He writes swiftly with inspiration
And here he writes this passage first hand
