Seems so simple but is not. Says to me that just because something is there you do not have to partake or get involved or let it in your life and the same respect, you can "plant" ideas and use them or not use. I know this is not a good explanation but I hope you know what I mean.

I was just wondering, how come the apple tree gives apples when I don't even water it. While the peach tree, the one that I water everyday in hope that it would give me peaches, doesn't?

There are several reasons for that to happen. I'm just leaving a huge space for the reader to come up with their own thoughts.

I think this poem is a lot simplier then people give it credit for. My interpretation is that you are having bad luck. It seems it always works out that way. Though you do not eat peaches that tree grows instead of the apple tree. I guess that's what water does and doesn't do. If you take care of something then it will grow and flourish. I think if you watered both of the trees they will both grow equally. Very interesting.
