Until Next Time

by Stargirl   Jul 20, 2014

My lips haven't stopped saying your name
Since the last time you kissed it
And it was the last one indeed
He was mine for only a month
But I already concluded that
It was the best relationship I've ever had
What we had was better than love
Because there were no wounds,
No expectations, no disappointments
It was as calm as the balmy afternoons
We spent staying in
Hapless it may seem from an outside perspective
Of how it ended so soon
But even our goodbyes felt refreshing
For we both knew it was for the best
He was a good man
He'll go far and he knows it
He was a dream
And I've never met someone who
I wanted to be so badly,
Perhaps one of the reasons
I couldn't stop writing about him
I'm not the kind of person for summer romance
But he was an exception
He lived two hours away but he felt like home
Love, you may forget me someday
But I'll keep you alive in my writing forever
And if for some reason,
Fate draws us together again in the future
Then perhaps from there,
We shall see how we'll write our next book
