Fishing for February

by moon face   Aug 17, 2014

I sat on the February night crescent
fishing for love atop the moon
my feet swung, so free and reckless
like shooting stars on Milky Way
I have stripped myself of cloth and skin
and used my flesh for bait
I have tossed all shallower appetites
into the bottomless depth
of the black sky sea
and clutched so ever devoutly
to my fishing rod
so wander the dark
when my light, is the highest in the sky

cling I'll reel
you by me
for all I want
is to put

a little stardust in your eyes

This piece is really sweet and I like the way it turned out. I really love the ending though, it stands out in its creativity and it is extraordinarily well stated.

    Awesome write.
