Tenderest love

by foster ricks   Sep 1, 2014

I was nine and she was ten.
I was satisfied to be in sight of
the girl.
She got my nose scratched, for
which I am remarkably glad.!
and what runs down her will
be ours to share,
She's more graceful, queenly,
and heavenly than the average
goddess;
Fancy holding up her little hand
and assuring that it was a light
drab color shot with red.
I felt in a dim way that we
were always meant to be
together.
we live completely in different
present However,
in the whirl of pleasure.
Your name I do remember.
I insisted, courteously
when we were apart to write
notes constantly.
How very extraordinary!
I say pleasantly,
To her mother indignantly;
I should like to know,
when coming home along the
moonlit road,
and telling her as I pressed her
to my heart and nose,
And her face like a fresh blush
rose,
more enchanting than
Parthenope;
By some mysterious law of
nature I invariably guess
wrong,
and given the chance to love
once more,
Where love is only a dream, and
marriage an alarm clock.
a day passed.....
playing together from morning
until night.
when we became more shy,
We were always man and wife.
As for love?
flattery is its very life-blood.
and her eyes like two evening
stars,
While her hair a wandering
sunbeam imprisoned by smiles.
It may seems sad in one so
young,
what is the use of pretending
otherwise and spoiling fun?
brought up in at Christian
family as she was,
And I would tell her that
Besides being smart
I imagine her as a living,
breathing impersonation of my
work of art,
Beautifully gifted like Christmas
cards,
In school she was easily
promoted of her beauty being
in into another class.
The meanest child of glory
Outshines the radiant sun,
she's one of a kind...
I'm regarded as an awful
example of giving way to
passion.
when I surely swallow up my
affection.
in tones full of the tenderest
emotion.
