Never Again

by Miss Lonely Teacher   Sep 17, 2014

Do you remember the night you sang?

So many songs,
and for so long..
A smile stretched across my face;
a memory I'll never replace.
My heart began to soar
as I prayed and prayed for more.
Perfection was never required of you,
I loved your flaws, they made you true.

But .. it was not to be.
Though time and time again your lies I'd believe.
Now, sitting broken on this ledge,
my heart has strength for one last pledge:

Never Again.
