Ivory Sweater

by Saw Lalbwel Htoo   Sep 18, 2014

1. Once I met her
Through the morning dew
When the sunny shine
Made her on my view

2. A beautiful capture
Of living paint
Quiver of my heart
Was slowly, gently faint.

3. From the ivory sweater
To the brownish pants
Fiddle-shape swayed near
In the winter specially matched.

4. I heard indistinctly
What she asked me
More than romance
It's beginning of our story

5. Drumming sound of heart
Replaying loud and louder
Could be aware from ten miles
But her, I saw nothing outer

6. Ecstatic consolation was
What I dreamed of
It came true then
Regarded as the will of God

7. When we're teenage
We merely knew to love
Innocent love l love
Let it fly as a dove

8. I tie myself
And do as I'm pleased
With whatever sort of love is
That's my due at least

9. Now, what is love
That I know of
It's between us
Never showing off

10. Everything is simple
In the alive world
Only human gotta do so
As the love is pure

11. I never miss you
While I'm sleeping
'Cos I always see you
At the time my eyes're closing

12. I get the bare lips
That God bans
As the words 'I Love You'
Rolls off my tongue.

13. Winter, again!
No chance to feel it
No heat to warm, then
All I know is to skip

14. As the more winters,
The more I long
I long the same sweater
The sweater I've found

15. The warmest day
By and by
Is of the Ivory sweater
Stand by me till I die.
