Nobody is (Prose)

by PineappleKing   Dec 8, 2014

We talk for hours and hours, the sun goes down and the moon comes up. You leave to make some coffee, mac & cheese, and a noodly dinner. You go through the motions of preparing a fake meal in a fake home, I watch your shoulder blades as you reach for various things. I watch your back as you twist to look at the various things that are battling for your attention. I look at all these parts of your body and find myself memorized by how you make all these movements look graceful and sophisticated yet simple at the same time. Maybe this is one of the reasons why I cant take my eyes off you, maybe this is why you amaze me, the ability to do something that has multiple appearances at once. All I know is that I have an overwhelming urge to hold you tightly just to let you know that you aren't alone in this crazy spinning ball we call a world.

This is a sweet little write to my maddy-o-so. I should tell you to keep your eyes off of her... but that is kinda difficult to do since you are her boyfriend, even though there is still no bird house in my lacking front yard for all those poor homeless feathered creatures ;)

Seriously? I leave for 5 minutes and this is what you do? I like the descriptions and images though, you chose some decent words for the scene. I also like the way you went about straying from your usual use of vocabulary. I enjoyed the way you went about saying exactly what you wanted to say and nothing more or less. Very well done.

Interesting piece over all, it fits well as prose but as I will always say, it could use some "true" format.
