Beauty Is Only Skin Deep

by Eric Ngobeni   Jun 15, 2015

I loved the girl of my heart and soul.
She was fit like glove.
And I handled her with kid gloves.
But she had cloth ears.
I tried to be in all honesty.
But it seemed to be chasing rainbows.
She gave me the rough end of the stick.
Like a bird-brain on the mountain.
She broke my heart.
And I had brushed with death.
My life was dull as ditch water.
Oh, girl never darkens my door again!
Believe you me!
Beauty is only skin deep.
