Great title. It made me initially think, 'what does that mean' The French seem to have a wonderful way of saying so much while expending so little effort, yet making it sound exquisitely refined.

I alas, do not possess the qualities and often let myself down in such occasion where it is warranted. I will leave the cryptic clues for others to research.

I've meant to cast shadows
upon a past of echos,

Trying to forget previous awkward occasions perhaps?
but madness follows me
^
I like this part. It is a part of oneself that cannot be disowned, much like a relative who always embarrasses when there is too much free flowing alcohol.
within the still-

This too, leaving the reader hanging, wanting more, read on...

The still of silence
^
the repeated word, like an echo. Nice touch!

that calms a whisper
and invites visions
to be born again.
^
The recollected, the flashback, the humiliation maybe?

I've never known
a nature more beautiful
than the one I've grown
to be, the nature that
resides within,
^
I see here a life once lived. Mistakes made, yet lessons learned. After all, as my old teacher used to say, ' you can't put an old head on young shoulders' How true too.
Anyway, excepting that part of ones life and knowing that is what shapes us into the beautiful people we grow to be.

It's great to see a poet here who essentially like who they are. Sadly it often takes to time to realise this.
