Heart-felt and powerful write. I love those opening two lines; a great start in context of what follows.

This mirror of mine is my dearest friend
yet her eyes haunt my soul eternally.
Why does she judge me so
as she reflects the essence of me?

I like the openning of this poem, at first I though it was one of those girlish thing of mirror mirror on the wall. . but found diferrent and attractive to wanna read more.
You talking about the person in the mirror and how you feel about her, was really nice.

    Fear;hatred; passion; love
All of these she reflects to me.
Always her eyes burn through me,
telling me my shadow is cold.

When you look in the mirror all you see is the negativity part of you

    I wish you would smile
and radiate love as your eyes meet mine.
My shadow I wish you'd set me free,
free from myself and all my pain.

The things you wish for the one in the mirror reflects back to what you need.

I like it. Nice read, all I wish is that the one on the mirror would smile and radiate love as her eyes meet hers'. maybe then, you will be free from thr shackles of your shadow my guess is you want love. you want freedom
    you want to better yourself.
    I wish you do.

I think most of us will relate to this poem, I think it is so easy to fall into a habit of looking into our reflection in the mirror and accepting our first thoughts that come instead of challenging them and changing them.

I too wish reflections would show the inner beauty of people, and help them appreciate who they are just as others around them appreciate them.

Thank you saffie :) yes it is a problem that affects all of society, odd thing is though that it mostly affect modern " civilized" society, we have become so self absorbed yet in that self absorption we have lost the true self, that is the irony of western civillizaton
