I can truly relate to this poem Ken. The past is ever present, even when you are happy. You often think of those you loved and even still miss them; learning to move on can be hard, but is the right thing to do. A poem full of hope.

I though it was a friendship poem, but then it turned out to be about love... that's why it's good, because it holds a surprise.

Why not try form poetry? If this was loop poetry or a palindrome would make this poem even better.
