Firstly, I like the form, it looks great. I think poetry should also look good on the page if possible. This one does that. :O)

Cats!
Balls of fun
Fluffy, soft, and cute

Cats are natural hunters and despite their cuteness they are killers. I have found countless trophies on my lawn, hallway rug, even bed!! I like the way you taper this section down to the noises they make. Great!

Second part - dogs. I have these too, so I am in heaven here with your choice of topic. :O)

Too true. Working dogs, especially. Bred for their special skills. Police sniffer dogs for example. Personally I like this particular working dog, The St Bernard bringing a needed swig of brandy in extreme cold climates.

I play fetch with my dogs. A tennis ball is their favorite game. on a field into the sea, they will chase it and bring it back as long as I am willing to throw it. I love my dogs and cats. One of my cats thinks he is a dog - he curls up with them and comes for walks with us too.

Cats and Dogs - great topic and well executed. The fact that you have worked with another writer doubled the challenge. The fact that you have rhymed sections also has increased the appeal for me.

Well done both of you for this great looking poem that is well written and a topic that most will enjoy, just like I have.

This is a beautiful poem and I agree this was really fun to read. The descriptions are perfect as well as are the imagery. This might be a simple poem but it says a lot. I love how you describe each animal in the detail that you did I believe it works really well and that is what you were going for in this poem. I love this form as well, although it escapes my mind on what form this is. Anyways to this is crafted well.

I really love how you wrote this poem, it does well to describe each critter and the imagery is stunning. You could say that this poem says that opposites can attract maybe or you have both dogs and cats as your pets and know how they act. I agree that this is a gem of a poem. You did well to describe what each one does well. and you can see each line play out. Same with the dog side It seems like each line holds a new scene and you did well with that. Not only did you describe the imagery, but an action each one does.

For the cat side I loved the lurking in shadows line, as cats do like to sneak up on people and get the element of surprise. But not only cats here but kittens as well, they seem to be more playful than adult cats. For the dog side, Dogs really are loyal if you let them be and train them well, so they will always be mans best friend, Overall the poem is well versed and looks nice on the page here.

The unique structure is great..as the simple pieces of description you give are all the while fulfilling'
