Comments : Removal of the self

Hmmm..there is something else behind this and yes writing poetry is removing oneself from the essence (at times) but then in some way we are weaved into it ie: our emotions, thoughts etc.

    By writing you,
you pull out of me Wisdom
as if I were a wisdom tooth
    sprouting out
in the mouth of mother earth

^^I like the imagery here especially the bit about sprouting out from mother earth's mouth, its as if poetry is giving birth to you(your writing is its baby). You push out everything for the labor of love-love for writing.

    You Poetry,

    Keep me clean.

^^The birth of a baby all so pure and untouched by the world, likewise poetry here is treated like one. Its been brought out without been touched or influenced by others, rather it has been birthed by the writer...You.

Interesting write Luce dear, not sure if I'm on the right track here but it felt to me that way...keep penning :)

    Hello,

lovely pace to this poem and a great concept too. The inspiration and wisdom we gain from the world around us is clear from this.

I personally think that wisdom comes from within. We gain our wisdom from our experiences, either personal or learned from others. This internal process creates wisdom, so to 'pull out' wisdom works well. I guess it is a matter of perspective.

    Take care,

    Michael

    JUDGING COMMENT:

A unique poem about poetry and the way it has
taken form or been birthed by the writer. There is
so much put into a poem when we write it, the
emotions and at times the heaviness of it all been
laid onto a pure white sheet. I like the descriptions
accompanied by the images as well as the
wisdom which has been portrayed. I especially
liked this line: "sprouting out in the mouth of mother earth".

All in all a write of wisdom, truth and maturity...
    well penned.
