Imperfection

by Maricris   Oct 12, 2015

Call it chance
The warmth of your touch
Alluring glance
Blood rushing through my veins.
Call it fate
As you call me each night late
We started a story
We don't want to end
You say nothing matters
Just you and me
You never realize
How happy you made me
You give me pain
I can endure
Pain you are the cure
You leave me breathless; listening
To your breathing
While you were sleeping
The scent of wine
Remains guilty in your breath
Set my heart on fire
Like fireworks burning with desire
Looking so calm and tender
Hot like ember
Lying on crumpled sheets
I'm feeling so jealous and jaded
But even so I've decided
You're the one I'm longing for
Since you walked in my front door
Your imperfections
Drawn like tattoo, embedded
In my heart, I call it perfect
In me, only you has painted.

Lord have mercy this is a beautiful poem. I'm literally awestruck and so glad I clicked on the rest of yours to read, because I'm certain they'll be good as well. nice to meet you.
