I am Fine, How are You

by PX   Oct 21, 2015

Can time take us both back,
To that summer at the beach,
Where we first met each other?
I caught your gaze for the first time,
And my heart stopped for just a while.
Long even to let me know,
That you are made for me.
But things had changed,
We had changed,
Our love had changed.
And now I understand,
That letting you go,
Is a form of love as well.
Your smiling face is still here,
Buried somewhere in my heart.
Your laughter is still here,
Echoing in my ever-restless mind.
Love is no longer ours,
But we still have to,
Look bravely towards the future.
I am doing well,
How about you?
When you think of me,
Is it with joy or regret?
At that time,
We cried and couldn't bear to part,
Though we know that it is for the best.
But now we can finally accept,
That we made the right decision.
After leaving me,
You should be happier.
Please don't do what you always do,
Hide alone in one corner and cry.
Keeping all your sadness to yourself,
Refusing to let others come in.
Please know that,
We'll both find happiness again.
