A New Beginning

No joy resides in this sullen heart,
Memories of you haunt my mind;
Your betrayal has left me broken
Leaving many a scar behind.

You were the most beloved to me
My love, my life, my all
Yet, you are the reason for the tears
That often from my eyelids fall.

But time will heal and I will rise
Above the sorrows buried within,
Soon you will be a distant memory
A new life shall then begin.

    Nicely penned writing, as a truth you spoke out that love hurts, it really does but time passes if we let it to and afterwards there comes a new beginning with time healing everything
