There is a love called letting go

by Just a Shadow   Oct 23, 2015

If my presence gives you pain
If romance becomes an nuisance
If lingering becomes a chain
If being together becomes overwhelming

I'm willing to break the promise
I'm willing to become lonely again
I'll let go and set you free
Let true love take me away

If our heaven is a wall
Caging in your dreams
If happiness is a distraction
Making you lose direction

I'll break it all
Ending our eternity to save you
Even though my heart will ache
I'll disappear from your life

There is a love called letting go
For love, I'll let go of forever
If you are forcing yourself to be with me
I rather let love take me away

I hope you find a better happiness
Someone who you can freely love
Thank you for the memories
Sayoonara...watashi no ai

This is so sad and as the title states 'there is a love in letting go.' But that's only because you obviously love that person more than you love being happy with that person so you allow them to love better and live better (if that makes sense)

    All the best, Em

The poem title struck me simply because of the sad truth of it - there is love in letting go. Well written, Joey - a thought-provoking and sad piece,
