Let go

by Poetically Vivid   Nov 4, 2015

No lie, the thrill gave me chills , a natural high not given by pills. Soaked up tears here's my heart to ring them out, you used to be the flame to my fire till you put it out. Sweet winter kisses, they won't be missed in the summer, I thought we would make it but we didn't that's sad a real bummer. I grew up with you, like I used to hold your hand to cross that street, but now I see you don't need me and that's a good thing to know, so now that we've gotten half way across I feel like I can finally let your hand go. They say all good things come to an end, so I guess that's true because now you've moved on and what am I to do. Congratulations on your new life and the things she gave you , I could've given you the world if you ever knew .
