A wonderful write, Jay. We could all do with a few more drops of calm, couldn't we?

Kerala is filled with lushes green and backwaters with just gives any person fresh air and a sigh- you can forget yourself within its arms. A soothing poem to read and I liked the details you have added to it making this a smooth read...nice one :)

    Ok Jay,

I will work on this one, at your request. I will make changes to the poem, best to print my version out and then compare. I will remove capitals, and change some words. If you don't understand why I did, then ask me, ok? I will try to explain also, in between brackets.

Out on the lawn lazing in my arm chair,
sipping the first cup of tea on a dewy November morn...
Soothing sunshine streaming through dancing boughs,
a sigh of content rising from deep within...[three dots is the norm]
Even the birds have yet to raise their voice,
and the bees are just tuning in.
Far, as far as the eye can see,
    just calmness and tranquillity.
Quietness within the silence and immeasurable time exists.
No coming, no going, no hurrying anywhere
No planning, no dreaming, no aims, no care.
Few moments in a lifetime, have I ever come across...
where there is no momentum, no restlessness...
no compulsion on body or mind.
A pause in between an exhale and inhale,
    seems like eons have passed.
Oh, that golden moment of peace!
A space I know, I should actually steal and store away deep within,
to retreat to, when I am in the midst of stress and dregs of worldly routine.
But then so content and relaxed was I, ignored the efforts of the conscious mind, and lived that moment in tender bliss and just let it pass as it ideally should.

    Hope this helps:)

    All the best,
    Ingrid
