What I Want

by Roses Bleed   Jan 2, 2016

I want to sketch your face with my fingers,
Taste your breath on my tongue,
Feel the love in your eyes.

I want your arms to hold my dreams close,
To cherish and protect me from the dark,
Hear the whisper of your hopes while you sleep beside me.

I want your scent to wrap around me, until it becomes part of my own,
To soothe your fears and insecurities down,
Until you can feel them slipping away.

I want to scratch away at your demons,
To dance with your angels.

I want to know you better than anyone else.
I want to be known more deeply than ever before.

I want your entire being to belong to mine,
Until we can't tell the habits and clothes and cups and wishes apart.

I want your lips to sing a song to my soul,
To touch me in ways your hands can't.

But mostly, I want you.
