The Sound

by Ericka Smith   Jan 26, 2016

Silent whispers of intimacy upon my ears I hear you. The sound is drowning out the visual of you in my mind. Careless whispers between two strangers who were once the best of friends. I hear you the sound is drowning out the visual of you in my mind. I use to know you, who are you? Why can't I reach you?, touch you?, feel you? The sound is drowning out the visual of you in my mind. Your soul has intertwined with mine separate but yet as one the silent sound of your heartbeat is deafening to my ears. I know you but, who are you? The sound is drowning out the visual of you in my mind.

    Hello Erika,

Is this your fist poem here? It is very good and shows a skill. I like the alliteration and the refrain going through. It is almost we are hearing this sound that is engulfing the visual memory of a loved one.

    Well done,

    take care,
