You are such a beautiful person and mother. I'm thinking of your daughter and sending much love. I think so many people who struggle with any addiction get the stigma associated with any type of it. And I can't imagine the tear in your heart and the challenge of it. Addiction is a terrifying, real thing but that is possible to defeat. With the right support and treatment. Sometimes it gets to me how people can look at it and just say, oh, it's not a big deal or oh, get over it. It's so much more than that.

My heart goes out to BOTH of you <3

Andrea, this is so heartbreaking! Having a child with a substance issue is so very hard, so much worry, so many sleepless nights worrying about her. I love your descriptives and your pain comes out in waves-stay strong, I'm sending prayers your way...Brenda

My heart goes out to you while reading this. As a mother we do the best we can, we love our children, try and protect them, guide them and hope the best for them. Addiction can come in many ways and as a mother it is devastating to watch. It will get to the point that we become so consumed with trying to save a child that it will destroy us. From personal experience I had to let go. We always love them and I pray every day that the choice she made will and can lead to the unthinkable. Andrea you are an amazing woman and I can tell a living, caring and devoted mother. Your heart is aching. I keep you all in my prayers. Hugs

The message I got from reading this interesting write is that "blood is always thicker than water " and that a mother's love and bond towards her children is always strong. She'll defend and look out for them always. great write
