Darren, what a truly enthralling yet wonderful and sad write.
You wrote well about the given life of a tree.
They must see so many beautiful and wonderful good times like the love and that little boy climbing to and on the other hand death and accidents. You paint a really vivid image of this lonely tree reminiscing about joyful and sad times gone by.
Well done this will receive my nominations as soon as they're back.

Darren created a powerful poem this week.

He took a topic that many within society ignore, the destruction of nature; dark side of beauty and he created a unique and captivating piece, very powerful!

    Darren,

Oh my god man i have missed your poems so much.

Making on in the view point of a tree itself is cleaver and unique in its own right. But giving it a personality like a person is something not many can do, let alone do well. You tell stories within a story and that is yhe best part, because in poetry that is really difficult to do.

First of all you give a back story to the tree, and how it has grown up per say like a person and within that you go through a time frame (what it is only the reader can guess), in which tome elapses. You make the tree go through the motions of a human would. You could almost say this is a metaphor, but i doubt it, it is that simple.

We all experience different things in our lives from sorrow to happy to anger and death and we could see each within a day. You never really give thought to nature having real emotions but they really do. They are alive!.

You take something so simple and make it beautiful, this is essentially what a real poem should be. Thought provoking non the less. Great work

An interesting and insightful write! You have given
the tree character and its realistic for as a reader
I feel what the tree is putting up with, the sadness
the joys it sees rather it witnesses and not been
able to let it all out yet keep it within it and just
keeps growing stronger. I like this!!

Wow, to finally see things from a tree's view! Most poems have trees beside or behind them but you were the tree in this. This is a very insightful read, full of truths, and the ending was heart-breaking. Great write!
