    Very much like meditation, no sound or sight, just being.
    I've built a forest world in my head to escape to, especially when the depression hits. I guess my bi-polar disorder is a handicap, and my forest world helps.

    Patrick, I liked this a lot. I have twin uncles that are blind and they have never let that stop them from doing anything. They navigate better than a lot of sighted people. The ability to shut out the world has it's pluses. I can totally see where at first it could be quite unnerving but after awhile rather tranquil. Well done-

    An interesting thought provoking piece. Having spent some time with blind people of different ages and backgrounds, one of the things that I discovered was how the challenges of being blind impact people differetly based on background and the age they went blind. So this piece certainly does provoke positive thoughts
