Permanent Scar

he cant erase
the pain you left
its still there
like a permanent scar
a tattoo that I can't get rid of
a heart so shattered
that it's impossible to put back together
understand that the pain you left is still here
along with the all bruises
all the burns
all the cuts from being tortured
again and again
day after day by you
the constant flashbacks of the pain and torture from the past
continue to hurt me in the present
brings fear to my future
and tears to my eyes
the pain you left is still here
like a permanent scar
