Wow, dear M, this is so excellent! Many things stood out for me - cremating my sanity, choking on invisible fumes, rigor mortis, ignite the fateful flame, again and again. I can feel the toll this fateful flame brings you when it is ignited and the pain left now that it is extinguished. The scars will heal...in time.

Truly a brilliant write! And I absolutely adore this.

Out of all of your poems, this one stands out the most....it's deep from your soul and I feel it was hard to write, very proud of you! Your strength shines from within each line Michael, well done!

This is a rather poignant piece which I can only assume not just by the title but by the sombre yet intriguing content which gripped me throughout that it is about the daily struggles of an addiction or more so the overcoming of an addiction and I truly believe this is a brave piece and I am pleased with Michaels strength to share this with us because any addiction is always hard to succumb. The word usage is very powerful and shows a great variety.
