Judgemental

You want everything to be perfect
No matter what it is
You can never have anything
Any other way
It's really annoying and selfish

You have standards
For you lover
How low can you get?
But if they had standards for you
You wouldn't like them
You're such a hypocrite

You can't always have what you want
Ever thought of looking deeper
Down beneath the looks
No one is perfect
Everyone is different
But each is unique as the next

Just stop and think
Because if you take the time
You'll see what's on the inside
Is all that matters
Just because they may not be really hot
Doesn't mean they aren't a nice person

Would you rather
Risk getting hurt
By a good looking person
Who was a jerk on the inside or...
Take the time
To get to know someone
Who is not so hot

Open your eyes
And realise
You can't always have what you want
Accept things for the way they are
And don't judge people by the way they look

I wrote this poem because I was sick of how people were treating each other and being so selfish. I'm sorry if I've offended anyone in anyway.

Please comment/rate as I would love to know what you think of my poems.
