Absolutely wonderful write, Dear Brenda! Really some excellent work here, and reminds us to keep open minds and be as one with our fellow brothers and sisters of the world, no matter race, culture, color, beliefs, etc. We are all one.

Thank you so much Ren. I wish we all just accepted people, without the labels and groupings.

Diversity - this is a huge topic. I remember when I changed my career from working in a male environment, to a caring role. I met diversity head on, although, I did not know it at the time. I worked for a company called Mencap. I was suddenly dropped into a world where everyone was 'not like. me' I was working with women, and now adults with a range of mental and physical disabilities. Now that was a real reality check for me. Did I enjoy that job? Damn right I did. Did it change and develop my views about how different we all are? Yes, it dd and more; it showed me how special we all are in our own unique way. The only barriers of prejudice are the ones we put up through ignorance.

    Your ending lines:

    so open your mind,
    your heart will follow.
We are all of one race,
    the human one...
    ^
    A great way to end.

    All the very best,

    Michael x

Michael, thank you so much for your comments. It is crazy how when we are put into a totally different environment that we begin to see a whole different world. Hopefully it changes our way of thinking, for some unfortunately it does not.
