i have a friend

by Bless_Poet   Jun 9, 2018

I have a friend whom my family have yet to meet
i so closed off, you'd think solitary confinement
am i to blame?
i always felt caged, confined by family aproval

but i have a friend
this is my disclosure
i let her in, she let me in
i have a friend!

she taught me to appreciate
i have a friend
the realisation that the solom fear
was the possibility of rejection of ME

I stand at the altitude of my choise
shouting
i have a friend!!

    Hello.
The frustration is clear in this poem.
I like the format and how it leads to a SHOUTING conclusion. A point well made.
There are a few typos: approval / choice

    Take care.
