Two beautiful poems.

One of my favorite forms is the senryu or haiku. And I always enjoy when they convay a message like this.

When I saw this title for the first time I am reminded of the saying "he/she loves me, he/she loves me not" peeling off flower petals and letting them fall to the ground. But here I feel like the title holds a special meaning perhaps of a memory of a loved one?

I like the first two lines because they are great setups. They are simple lines but the imagery here is outstanding I can just see someone smiling while they were picking that flower or flowers for their vase. My favorite word here is meadow because when I picture a meadow they are full of beautiful flowers. So you leave the reader guessing as to which flower is picked and perhaps it doesn't matter, but I feel like this person picked a flower as I said above that holds special memories.

The beginning is full of love and happiness and then it turns sad-

The flower withered. One thought that has crossed my mind is that this a metaphor for something, the flower is person whom this person used to love, but they passed away or the relationship ended, and they see that flower as the good and bad times they had together. But that was just diving into the poem itself. Either way I love how this is put as a senryu because this poem was very emotional. Excellent write.
